Background on the Firm

Joseph T. Regard was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar 1987, United States Patent & Trademark Office 1991, and Texas State Bar 1994. He has been involved in Patent or Trademark disputes before Federal District Courts as well as the Patent Office Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB), and the Multi-District Panel in Washington, D.C. Mr. Regard is admitted to the Federal District Courts for the Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana.

Areas of patent prosecution have included mechanical apparatus, biochemistry, electronics, heat exchangers, hazardous waste containment systems, shipping systems, medical devices, marine propulsion systems, thin film plastics, valves, water treatment systems, wireless communications, spread spectrum, security systems, mariculture, industrial automation, precision sampling systems, consumer products, and many other areas.
